“What a wonderful place to have a holiday. The villa is big, quiet, perfectly located and has a wonderful balcony for eating and drinking with friends and family! I would thoroughly recommend it!”

“My friends and I had the best holiday ever at Villa Mjesto. Great house with four double bedrooms and three bathrooms. Very spacious and relaxing with beautiful views and a few minutes walk from Stari Grad.
Loved breakfast and evening drinks on the balcony and if you don’t want to go into the little township to any number of delicious restaurants, cooking facilities excellent at the villa. Beautiful local beaches or hire a bike and go further afield to experience others.
I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

“We had a wonderful time on Hvar. Villa Mjesto is ideally situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre of Stari Grad, nestled around the harbour. The restaurants are wonderful, the evening strolls delightful and the house accommodated eight of us without a problem. Our cycling trips to various dreamy beaches were great fun. We loved the views…”

“Our host made us very welcome by keeping in touch with us long before we arrived and providing us with some very helpful information regarding the house and the surrounding area. The house surpassed our expectations. It was so spacious and comfortable. Very well equipped. Such comfortable beds. We are four sisters of a certain age who were on holiday together for the first time in 30 years. The size and space, with three bathrooms and two sitting rooms meant that we could comfortably have time alone if we chose to do so. The views from the balcony were stunning, facing on to the older part of Starigrad. The house is situated within a couple of minutes from the town and there is a supermarket immediately you enter the town. Not that we cooked much. Starigrad has so many eating places all at very reasonable prices that it is hardly worth the bother of making food. All the places we ate in were of a very high quality. The food was amazing!! The town itself is unspoilt and so very interesting to meander through. We didn’t need to hire a car because the local bus and ferry were close by and travelling was very easy. We are completely smitten by the villa and are planning our next years trip already!!! I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to groups of friends, families with any age of children and older age groups.”

“We had a lovely time at Villa Mjesto. The location is just about perfect – two minutes to the supermarket, five minutes to the old town and a fantastic view from the terrace over the harbour and the hills. The villa has loads of space, both inside and out, and all of the amenities that you could need. We had a six month old baby with us, and they provided everything we’d need for her. We’d very happily return!”

“What a great and beautiful spot, we are feeling relaxed already!! We have been down to the local shops and now sitting on the deck, absorbing the tranquil still of dusk, listening to the church bells and the evening songs of the birds, while supping on some rather delicious Chianti! We were transported to a refreshingly slow and natural pace of life, where the fishermen sold his catch from the back of his boat in the morning, to the most mouth watering delicious mussel soup and wild boar stew from a local restaurant in the evening! We whole heartedly recommend staying in this delightful setting, where the tranquility takes over and the batteries are fully charged!
Thank you SO much for sharing your fabulous Villa in beautiful StariGrad!”

“First of all, Stari Grad city is a great place to visit, more calm than the Hvar city. This was our third stay in Stari Grad. We hired the house for a week. The location is perfect with an open view to the harbor. The house itself was large, and we did of course not use all of it. The veranda outside the kitchen in the first floor was the place to stay for breakfast and in the evenings. It was a very short distance to shops and to places where we could hire boats and cycles.”

“We had a lovely stay at this villa with our 2 young children (3 and 10 months). The location is perfect, close enough for easy access to the town and beach but very peaceful on the other side of the harbour from the yachts and noise. There is a door that shuts off the main part of the house from the kitchen and balcony, enabling us to put the kids to bed and enjoy the evenings. There is also a deck for washing on the other side of the kitchen with waist high concrete walls and mostly shade in the afternoons. We found this the perfect place to put a paddly pool for the kids for afternoons when they needed a little downtime. The owner also kindly provided a baby cot and very sweet wooden high chair.”

“We have just returned from a lovely week at this large, well maintained, clean, and well located property. The town of Starigrad is delightful and very relaxing and this property is within very easy walking distance of everything. We were told that most residents don’t bother locking their doors as they have no crime. Certainly the house and the town felt extremely safe and apart from the staff in both supermarkets who were all outstandingly unfriendly and rude everybody else was friendly and helpful. The staff at the nearby Hermitage Restaurant which is excellent were particularly good and very knowledgeable about their wines. The house is perfect for a family or group of friends and can easily sleep six in three bedrooms. We hardly used the downstairs at all as it has a lovely first floor terrace where you sit and let the mind float away watching the sunsets. Thoroughly recommend.”
